I am writing this article neither to appreciate nor to criticise the government. It’s only to remind the authorities that we are standing on a dormant volcano that is waiting to erupt and above all we are ignoring the criticality of the situation. I am talking about a possible soft target for these so called terrorists (I would rather call them savages). I am talking about something that can bring havoc to the whole nation- where the fire would engulf all classes of people, where people would start thinking themselves to be of the one grief stricken country, with each one of us deeply wounded by the brutality of the disaster. People from all spheres of life would be strangled with the opening of this ‘Pandora’s chest of Anti-Peace’.
There is one thing that man cannot live without. And that’s food. Imagine, if tomorrow the Food Industry becomes the slayer’s target. Employees working in the food industry are humans too. They can be bribed too. Let alone bribed, he may be the one- our Anti-Hero waiting for the right time. He might have his network cross-embedded in diverse organizations dealing with vast range of food products. Biscuits, cake, bread, mixtures, sweets are everyday eatables. What would happen if these would be darted with poison? Three generations would be wiped out of a civilization.
I want to know that what steps the government is/ has taken to seal the door of hell. Are the workers working in the food industry checked thoroughly every day? Have the employers checked the bio data of each of their employees before agreeing to allow them for work? Above all, is each product being scrutinised with proper care, before it reaches the hands of the common man. It’s high time that we get pro-active because if they strike, then we can only repent.
This time it wouldn’t be a 7/11 Mumbai Attack, or a 9/7 New Delhi attack. Rather, we would call this as X/YY India attack. Yes, the whole nation would be hit by these camouflaged killers. I say camouflaged because it’s not just the terrorist that I am talking about, I am relating each one of us as the cause for the upcoming disdain to humanism. The way we neglect our responsibilities to escape from life’s hardships can hit back us hard. The time is ripe. The villains might have already started planning. Each one of us has a chance to become a hero. It’s up to us if we want to let go this opportunity as well.
